About This Coin
This coin celebrates James Bond’s association with the Aston Martin DB5. Debuting 60 years ago in 1964’s Goldfinger, the sleek ‘silver birch’ sports car remains synonymous with James Bond.
Bond’s arsenal of gadgets and weaponry included an Aston Martin DB5. With front-mounted machine guns, a bullet-proof rear shield, and a passenger-side ejector seat among Q Branch’s many modifications, it became a quintessential Bond symbol.
The coin’s reverse portrays a coloured image of Daniel Craig in a classic Bond pose, and an Aston Martin DB5. The design includes the coloured inscription ‘JAMES BOND’, the 007 gun logo, and spiral gun barrel graphics from the franchise’s signature opening sequence.
Housed in a presentation case and 007-themed shipper, the coin is accompanied by a numbered certificate of authenticity.
