The ninth release in the Royal Australian Mint's Colours of Christmas series pairs the occasion with Australia's coral reefs rather than traditional festive imagery, a distinctly Australian take on a summer Christmas.

Struck to Uncirculated quality, the design draws on the organic forms and colours of coral reefs, rendered in a kaleidoscope of purple, blue, green, pink, red, orange and yellow set against detailed relief work, evoking sunlight filtering through tropical water and the life beneath its surface. The coin sits at the centre of a large decoration card, finished with swirls of colour and gold foil highlights.

The 2026 50c Christmas Decoration Coloured Uncirculated Coin is available in Australia from Direct Coins - leading authorised distributor for the Royal Australian Mint since 2012.
