All twelve zodiac animals appear together on this 3oz silver coloured proof coin, each depicted as a baby against stylised clouds, a lake and a temple. They surround a bagua, a motif of eight Taoist trigrams representing yin and yang, said to be present in all things, alongside a taijitu representing the unity and interdependence of opposing forces.

According to Chinese tradition, the emperor ordered a great race between all the animals on Earth to decide the twelve positions in the lunar calendar. Each animal represents a year in the 12-year cycle, influencing the attributes and fortunes of those born in that year.

Each coin is housed in a classic display case within an illustrated shipper, with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.

The 2026 Twelve Baby Lunar Animals 3oz Silver Coloured Proof Coin is available in Australia from Direct Coins. Leading authorised distributor for The Perth Mint since 2012.
