The eleventh coin in The Perth Mint's Wedge-tailed eagle series is struck from 1oz of platinum in an Enhanced Reverse Proof finish, with the image and outer rim gilded in 24-carat gold.

A symbol of freedom and endurance in the Australian skies, the Wedge-tailed eagle has a wingspan of up to 2.8 metres and rides thermal currents to heights above 2,000 metres. Its wedge-shaped tail and feathered legs make it instantly recognisable across mainland Australia and Tasmania.

The high relief reverse shows the eagle's silhouette in the foreground with a bald eagle behind it, both gazing to the right. It also carries the inscription 'AUSTRALIAN WEDGE-TAILED EAGLE', The Perth Mint's 'P' mintmark, and the coin's weight, fineness and 2026 year-date. The obverse carries the Dan Thorne effigy of King Charles III and the monetary denomination.
