As the sun drops over the Kimberley, the sky turns gold, orange and smoky purple, and the boab trees stand in silhouette against it. The Kimberley Sunset 2026 2oz Gold Proof High Relief Gilded Coin captures that moment in two ounces of gold.

Designed by Thomas Vaughan, who also created the original Kimberley Sunset coin in 2015, the high relief reverse shows a boab tree in the remote landscape of Western Australia’s far north. The image and outer rim are gilded in 22-carat rose gold, and a single Argyle Pink Diamond™ is hand-set as the setting sun, casting a sunburst across the scene.

Argyle Pink Diamonds come from the Kimberley itself. Since the Argyle mine closed in 2020, they have become increasingly rare, giving this coin a direct connection to the landscape it portrays.

The reverse also carries the inscription ‘KIMBERLEY SUNSET’, The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark and Vaughan’s ‘TV’ initials. It is a coin for serious collectors of Australian gold, and a luxury gift to mark a milestone of real significance.
